Emsys Maritime is a Queens Award winning organisation which manufactures and supports advanced environmental measurement and reporting systems.  Building on our market success, the company is looking for a Technical Manager who will help us navigate through the next phase of our growth.

You will be accountable for technical leadership and support of the operations, manufacturing and service teams, whilst also being responsible for the technical delivery of capital projects . You will be a ‘hands on’ engineering professional who will lead by example and have the drive to lead the business to the next level. You will be a champion of change and continuous improvement, you will also be passionate about helping develop the team and building on our outstanding supportive culture.

 

The Role:

• Full time based in our offices in Altrincham, Greater Manchester
• Reporting to the Managing Director
• Responsible for the technical support and leadership of our Projects, Operations, Service teams
• Responsible for H&S and quality management
• You will additionally manage the prerequisite’s – Type Approval, Internal Audits and supplier technical approval
• You will continue development of our internal and external processes to ensure we continue to deliver technically and commercially on our strategic objectives
• You will work with our industry partners and subcontractors to support our installation and commissioning activities
• You will promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale

The Person:

• Strong electrical and mechanical engineering background and experience
• HNC/HND or Degree in a suitable engineering discipline
• You will have knowledge of relevant legislation and industry operating standards
• Currently in a supervisory or technical support role looking to make the next career step towards senior management
• Commutable to Altrincham, Greater Manchester
