Project Engineer – Offshore and Marine Mechanical/Electrical Installation

Fixed Term Contract 3-months – with possibility for extension or transition to permenant position

Monthly Rate :     TBC

Start :                    Immediate

Location :            Altrincham, Greater Manchester, UK. Possibility of remote working with regular visits to the office for project update meetings

The Company

Emsys Maritime Ltd is an award-winning UK based maritime technology solutions provider. Emsys Maritime are leaders in the marine emission monitoring sector. An increasing order book means they are looking for an additional Project Engineer to help support the team and ensure contracts are delivered on-time and on-budget.

The Role

Preparation of drawings, project plans, methods of works, risk assessments/HAZID and documentation packages for the installation of mechanical/electrical systems into Offshore assets and ocean-going vessels. The candidate will understand the challenges of working in these environments and the necessary risk mitigation strategies that are involved.

Required Skills

Understanding the requirements of mechanical/electrical installation works in the offshore and ocean-going marine sectors.

Degree/HND/HNC in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline

3 years’ experience in a similar position

CAD competent – preparation of installation drawings and schematics

Good communicator, team player

Competent with MS Office and other industry standard software packages

Able to provide excellent references

Fluent English language

UK Passport and ability to travel globally, if required
